Meet The Staff
    Badeah (Ba Dee ah!) has been with the store from the very first
day, literally. She would come in as I was painting and setting up
the store asking “when could I start”. Her eagerness to be a part
of the Tri & Run For Your Life family transcends into the
passionate endurance athlete she has become and helps so
many others to become. Badeah came to T&RFYL with over 15
years of running experience, yes over 15 years. This college
runner has been running track and field since she was 6 years
old in Elementary school, which developed into the Middle
School, High School, to the current College Cross Country and
Track and Field athlete. Badeah has dozens and dozens local
and NYRR races under her racing belt and is training for the
glorious NYC marathon this year.
     OK, you guys probably already know her as the Captain
of Team Life, but there is great news for those of you that
are not part of Team Life. You can come down and meet
Trish at the store where she would be more than happy to
talk running, biking, and swimming with you. In a short time,
this proud mother of two year old son Brodie (cute kid, you
should see him run!), has tackled many endurance events.
From half marathons, 5k and 10k’s, marathons, Sprint,
Olympic, and Half Ironman events (jeez, and that is only
counting this year!), Trish has conquered it all. We shook
the magic 8 ball, and it read “signs point to yes” when we
asked, “will Trish do an Ironman?”
Frankie is our strength and conditioning coach here at the
store. Frankie is a former Xavarian High School football and
lacrosse athlete that also coached his former lacrosse team
after graduating. Frankie continued with strength training after
high school and college and continues to apply athletic lifting
to his training and coaching “too many athletes make the
mistake of training as if they were body builders creating too
much mass and not enough sport specific mucles” claims
Frankie when they incorporate (and they should) weight
training to their running and triathlon regimen.  Frankie
understands the importance of sport specific weight training to
maximize athletic potential.
Well any of you that have already been to the store know him,
and probably know him well. He has been my assistant at
every running and triathlon clinic, the creative genius behind
the website (I kid you not, he built and designed this website),
our in store graphics specialist, and gear gadget guru. He is a
huge fan of all the great gear we get to use in sport that he
consistently researches new equipment. I guess working here
rubs off on you. Ahmed has been taking swimming at school
(got an A) and “borrowed” my mountain bike. I say “borrowed”
cause he has been on it so much, I never get to see it
anymore. I have to keep him away from my tri bike.
